My name is Kate Avery so obviously I put the KA into Kare Lawyers.
I grew up and went to school in Beaudesert back in the days when it was a relatively small country town and not an outer suburb of Brisbane.
Beaudesert was a great place to grow up. My parents encouraged us to make the most of the bushwalking around the Scenic Rim. Even now, I love visiting National Parks and even just wandering down the nature trails on Mt Coot-tha on weekends.
At Uni, I studied Arts and Law. My Arts major was in Government and I have always been really interested in public policy and the way in which Government interacts with our everyday lives.
Immediately after graduating in 1997, I started working in Personal Injuries litigation and I have continued to do so ever since.
