Kate Avery
Who Am I?
Kate Avery has worked as a lawyer in Brisbane for over 25 years and is a Principal at Kare Lawyers. Her work focuses on helping people understand their rights and obligations under Queensland’s personal injury laws, including the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002.
In her daily practice, Kate handles the procedural steps required for workplace, motor vehicle, and public liability matters. Her experience also includes providing legal advice on medical negligence claims and navigating the complex requirements of the law of negligence in health care settings.
Kate provides practical guidance throughout the statutory pre-court process and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland. Outside of her legal practice, she has spent time providing voluntary support and legal assistance to various local community organisations.
